Landscape Forms has relaunched SHUFFLE, a modular pole system that consolidates Wi-Fi, cameras, sensors, two-way communications and EV-charging into a single vertical structure. The announcement comes as public spaces continue to add single-purpose poles carrying sensors, cameras, lighting and connectivity equipment to sites where space is at a premium.

The company said the relaunch responds to rising customer expectations. Municipalities, campuses and commercial developers, it said, are looking for ways to expand site functionality without adding visual clutter or additional cost, and demand has grown for thoughtfully designed, fully integrated multi-function infrastructure.

Stacked capabilities in one structure

SHUFFLE is designed to stack its functions vertically, with the company describing the pole as easy to activate and install. Its modular components are intended to allow customization and future adaptability, while the integrated design aims to bring modern aesthetics and efficiencies into busy, multi-use environments.

Landscape Forms has also simplified specification through a new build feature on its website. Clients can name their preferred camera and technology brands and then choose among a range of options within each of those categories.

The new feature updates emphasize plug-and-play simplicity. According to the company, the options now include a 360-degree area light, a decorative light ring, a 180-degree area light, quad-view and 180-degree cameras, motion sensors, and loudspeaker and intercom modules.

Addressed to busy public spaces

“This is the solution site designers have been waiting for,” said Shannon Lee, Business Development Manager for Smart Poles at Schréder. She said SHUFFLE was designed to fit the needs of any busy public space, with product and feature sets that can be updated as the requirements of a site evolve. Safety and connectivity, she added, are integrated into outdoor spaces without dominating them, which the company says makes the system accessible and user friendly.

The modular design allows the pole to be configured for specialized environments as well as general public spaces. Landscape Forms positions it for places where people gather to work, travel, study and take recreation, citing university and business campuses, airports and commuting hubs, shopping malls and tourist areas, concert halls, city parks, sports venues and hospitals.

Because a single pole can carry lighting, cameras, sensing and communications equipment, site managers handling a range of requirements can address several needs through one structure rather than a series of separate installations. That consolidation is the central argument the company makes for the product.

Technology and design together

“SHUFFLE represents exactly the kind of thinking our industry needs: technology and design working together to make outdoor spaces safer and smarter without compromising aesthetics,” said Jordan Agustin, President of Lighting at Landscape Forms. He said the new features and capabilities integrated into the streamlined design enhance the beauty and functionality of outdoor space while advancing the company’s mission of connecting people to the outdoors and to each other.

As presented, the relaunch is a product and configuration update rather than an entirely new platform, with the stated value resting on consolidation, adaptability and a simpler specification process. The announcement does not report field performance or deployment results.
