Aggreko has introduced three Tier 4 Final diesel generators designed for remote Canadian work sites, offering 145 kW, 210 kW and 1,200 kW capacities at 600 V. The models will be available exclusively to Canadian contractors, according to the company.
All three units are CSA and UN31A compliant, meeting Canadian electrical and fuel regulations. Aggreko says they use current generator technologies to provide reliable, low-emissions power for commercial and industrial applications while matching the requirements of the Canadian market. The units are designed to meet and exceed local needs, the company says.
Direct 600 V output on the largest unit
The 1,200 kW model includes onboard 600 V capability, which removes the need for additional step-up transformers. Aggreko says direct 600 V output reduces project complexity, improves cost-efficiency and minimizes potential points of failure. The company positions the unit for large industrial loads where 600 V is often required, giving customers what it describes as a competitive edge.
Canopy units and fleet range
The 145 kW and 210 kW models are canopy units built for immediate energy needs and rapid deployment, while the 1,200 kW model is intended for larger industrial demand. The new units extend Aggreko’s Canadian fleet, which ranges from 25 kW to 1,200 kW and supports temporary power deployments.
Aggreko’s Canadian service centres will support customers in data centres, construction, oil and gas, mining and events, deploying temporary power for a range of applications. The company says all three generators provide fuel efficiency, ultra-low emissions and controlled noise levels that surpass local requirements.
Data centres and remote sites
The models are also aimed at Canada’s expanding data-centre industry. As provincial regulators look to limit how much power data-centre operators pull from the grid, Aggreko presents the Tier 4 Final generators as off-grid energy that can keep facilities operating while limiting disruption to communities.
Paul Nascimento, Aggreko’s managing director for Canada, said tailoring the company’s most advanced generators for Canadian customers underscores the importance of the market. He cited large petrochemical and mining industries that need power across vast, remote territories, along with thriving construction and data-centre sectors, as sources of demand for powerful, precisely configured energy solutions. Nascimento said the Canadian Tier 4 Final generators pair Aggreko technology with hardware tailored to Canadian operating requirements.
Together, the three models give Canadian contractors options for smaller immediate power needs and large industrial demand. Aggreko says the lineup is configured for the country’s operating conditions, with the smaller canopy units supporting quicker deployment and the 1,200 kW unit addressing projects that require 600 V power without extra transformation equipment.
